From the 1st, Five Inspection Team Members Deployed... Strengthening Safety Management for Falls and Excavations
[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Chunsu] Damyang County, Jeonnam Province announced that from the 1st to the 9th (7 days), it will conduct inspections of construction sites under supervision within the jurisdiction to prevent safety accidents and poor construction during the thawing season, when the risk of accidents increases due to ground weakening.
This inspection will be conducted simultaneously at 10 construction sites within the jurisdiction, including roads, buildings, and water supply and sewage systems. An inspection team consisting of five members, including officials from the County Safety Construction Division and Legal Audit, retired officials, and architects, will be deployed.
The main inspection items include supervision tasks such as checking the appropriateness of temporary facility installation in safety management, whether construction machinery has exceeded its valid period or undergone structural changes, absence of quality managers, and whether safety management plans have been established and implemented.
Additionally, considering the COVID-19 situation, compliance with quarantine rules at construction sites, such as wearing masks and implementing symptom checks for site entrants, will also be inspected.
Construction sites found to have inadequate safety management or illegal activities during the inspection process will be strictly dealt with without leniency according to relevant laws, including suspension of construction, business suspension, penalty points, and fines.
