Gwangju City Recruiting Participants for Regional Vitality Plus Job Project
Apply at local district office or community center from 5th to 9th
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 1st that it will recruit participants for the ‘2021 Regional Vitality Plus Job Project’ to support the livelihoods of local residents struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and to revitalize the stagnant local economy.
Through this project, Gwangju City secured 7.7 billion KRW in national funds, including 1.3 billion KRW for vaccine administration support and 6.4 billion KRW for daily quarantine measures.
This represents a significant increase in Gwangju City's budget share of the total project cost, rising from 2.74% last year to 3.64% compared to last year’s Hope Job Project.
Those wishing to participate in the project can apply by bringing their ID cards to their local district office or community service center from the 5th to the 9th.
The project will provide jobs to 1,775 people across 179 projects, including vaccine administration support, daily quarantine in multi-use facilities, and neighborhood cleanliness projects. The project period is from next month’s 3rd to October 31st.
Eligible participants are citizens aged 18 or older as of the announcement date, who have the ability to work and belong to vulnerable employment groups or have experienced job loss or business closure due to COVID-19.
Working conditions vary by project, with 20 to 25 hours per week, an hourly wage of 8,720 KRW, and separate transportation allowances.
For more details, inquiries can be made to the Gwangju City and local district websites or the district job departments.
