[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] KCC is promoting 'design' as its management keyword for 2021 and is conducting a customer-tailored design seminar called 'Trend Pulse' to develop high value-added products aligned with global trends based on its excellent design capabilities.
KCC will hold the Trend Pulse seminar, providing design insights and customized solutions to client companies until May. The seminar will be held at the newly built KCC Color & Design Center next to the headquarters earlier this year, and considering the COVID-19 situation, it will be conducted individually in an invitation-only format.
Since the seminar is conducted one-on-one with client companies, customized design solutions tailored to each company's business field will be provided. In particular, Chairman Chung Mong-jin, who emphasizes 'design' as the management keyword for 2021, is closely monitoring the progress and focusing on customer-centric management.
The Trend Pulse seminar focuses on consumer lifestyles and needs, overall industry trends, and the flow of the architectural market to forecast future interior and exterior design trends, offering various information and inspiring product development. Client companies can gain significant assistance in developing and researching product designs in their business fields through the seminar.
KCC has selected 'Inflection' as this year's main design theme. The COVID-19 virus, which has spread worldwide since last year, has nullified all predictions about the future and created an inflection point in human history, implying that in a reality where returning to the past is impossible, flexible and appropriate responses are required during a period of rapid change.
The seminar is structured into four parts under the main design theme: Influence, CMF (Color, Material, Finishing) trends, interior trends, and exterior trends.
