Samsung Celebrates 2nd Anniversary of 5G Phone Launch "Up to 150,000 KRW Additional Compensation for Used Phones"
[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgina Cho] Samsung Electronics announced that it will operate an 'Additional Trade-in Compensation Program' until May 31 to commemorate the 2nd anniversary of the launch of the first 5G smartphone in Korea.
According to Samsung Electronics on the 1st, from this day, customers who purchase the Galaxy S21 series and foldable phones Galaxy Z Fold2 or Galaxy Z Flip 5G and trade in their existing phones will receive up to an additional 150,000 KRW on top of the used phone market price.
The smartphones eligible for additional compensation upon trade-in are Samsung and LG smartphones released at the time of 5G commercialization in 2019, including Galaxy S10 5G, Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 Plus, and LG V50 ThinQ.
Benefits are available when purchasing products through the Samsung Electronics website, Galaxy Campus Store, the three major mobile carriers' online and offline stores, Samsung Digital Plaza, Hi-Mart, and others. After receiving the purchased product, customers can trade in their existing devices via Mint ATM machines installed nationwide at Digital Plaza and large marts.
