The People Power Party immediately criticized it as "emotional manipulation," pointing out that it was not a sign of reflection and self-restraint amid the controversy over her remarks calling victims "complainants."
On the same day, Go's office uploaded a photo on Facebook showing her resting with her head down on a desk while wearing a campaign jumper for candidate Park. Along with the photo, Go's office wrote, "Go Minjung, who spent the morning canvassing alleys on foot and by campaign vehicle. Member, you will have to go out again soon."
Earlier, on the 27th, Go had shared a photo of herself crying in the arms of a citizen during a rainy campaign event.
She said, "On a spring rainy afternoon, I met residents of Gwangjin while appealing for support for candidate Park. Feeling a bit chilly in the cool weather, someone approached me," adding, "'I support you. Don't get tired. Let's work hard together to protect Seoul,' they said, hugging me tightly."
She continued, "Perhaps because I heard what I wanted to say, I couldn't hold back my tears," and "Both that person and I hugged each other for a long time in the rain."

Kim Yeryeong, spokesperson for the People Power Party's Central Election Committee, issued a statement saying, "The three complainants who resigned from their positions as spokesperson and co-heads of candidate Park's campaign and apologized to the victims still show no sign of remorse."
She further addressed Go, asking, "Have you ever shed tears even once for the victims? Have you ever embraced the people who have to endure the election due to the sexual harassment by the late Park Wonsoon, former mayor of Seoul?" She added, "Those who never once offered sincere comfort to the victims now appeal for support with tears in front of Seoul citizens. It is truly shameful and embarrassing."
Kim Woong, a member of the People Power Party, also shared articles related to Go on Facebook, stating, "Those tears should be shed not for power but for the victims of sexual crimes," and "The harsh words thrown at the victims cannot be erased by that tear show."
