On the 29th, Ahn Hye-jin, spokesperson for the People’s Party, released a statement with this content.
Kim faced controversy over duplicity after it was revealed that he significantly raised the deposit for his Gangnam apartment just before the implementation of the three lease laws.
Spokesperson Ahn pointed out, "While the law forces the public to accept a 5% cap, Kim shamelessly enriched himself through immoral acts contrary to the legislative intent, yet he openly served as the key policy control tower at the Blue House. It’s nothing but a bitter laugh."
Kim tendered his resignation directly to President Moon Jae-in that morning, and President Moon immediately accepted it. Regarding this, Ahn said, "Unlike his usual lack of communication, the swift decision to dismiss him suggests that President Moon was in a hurry ahead of the election," adding, "Kim, who seized the opportunity on the sinking ship and quickly boarded the lifeboat to disembark, is truly a master of timing."

Additionally, Ahn criticized, "A hypocritical regime that defies market logic, only issues excessive regulations, drives the people into a dead end, labels the benefits the people gain as deep-rooted evils, and mistakes the benefits they themselves obtain as rightful justice! A reckless regime that deludes itself into thinking it is a state by, for, and of themselves," and continued, "This hypocritical regime, filled with people who cannot give up cowardice, momentary shame, or benefits gained through corruption, will continue to be full of those who shoot themselves in the foot and will be remembered by future generations as the worst incompetent regime in history, a cradle of corruption and unfairness."
