Bloomberg News, citing a representative from the port shipping company Inchcape, reported, "We have succeeded in refloating the Ever Given in the Suez Canal." According to Inchcape, the Ever Given was salvaged at 4:30 a.m. local Egyptian time on the 29th.
Bloomberg News stated, "Salvage workers removed 27,000 cubic meters of sand and dug the ground to a depth of 18 meters before they could refloat the ship," adding, "The Ever Given is now in a condition to resume navigation."
