The Return-to-Farming and Fishing Villages Harmony Village Creation Project is a program aimed at resolving conflicts between returnees to farming and fishing villages and local residents, and spreading a warm community culture.
Last month, Jeollanam-do received project applications from 22 cities and counties within the province and finalized 10 villages as project recipients.
Last year, up to 5 million KRW per village was supported for 24 villages within the province.
Starting this year, the number of projects was reduced to 10 villages, and the project funding per village was increased to a maximum of 24 million KRW to enhance focus.
The selected villages plan to operate various harmony programs from this month until the end of the year, including creating national flower paths, establishing Zelkova tree parks, taking longevity photos of elders, and hosting food-sharing events to honor the elderly.
