Candidate Park Young-sun: "I will develop Gangnam-gu into a blockchain hub city"
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the afternoon of the 28th, Park Young-sun, the Democratic Party of Korea's candidate for Seoul mayor, held a focused campaign in Gangnam through 'Park Young-sun's Healing Camp (Gangnam Edition)' communicating with citizens at Gangnam Square.
Candidate Park said, "Gangnam is a city known worldwide through the song 'Gangnam Style,'" adding, "This Gangnam is facing a crisis after COVID-19."
She continued, "The competitiveness of Seoul changes depending on how Gangnam transforms," and stated, "I will make Gangnam a city of light and a city with secured green spaces."
Candidate Park also said, "Gangnam was the hometown of Korea's ventures but is now facing a crisis due to issues like rent," promising, "I will regrow Gangnam as a blockchain hub city and an innovation cluster where young people can fully demonstrate their talents."
During the subsequent dialogue with citizens, young people in their 20s dreaming of owning a home, Seoul citizens engaged in environmental activism, and youths aspiring to become nurses took the stage to propose policies to Candidate Park.
During the street campaign at Gangnam Station that day, Candidate Park listened to the difficulties faced by young people and reaffirmed her determination to become a mayor 'for the youth.'
Before stepping down from the stage after the official event, Candidate Park responded to the citizens' cheers and support with a song, and the event concluded with citizens singing along with her.
