[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young]The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced on the 29th that it has launched the 'National Secretary' service, which provides not only vaccination information but also personalized administrative information necessary for the public.
This service allows citizens to receive personalized notifications through the National Secretary by pre-selecting seven types of administrative information frequently used, such as apps commonly used by the public, driver's license renewal, and national scholarship applications, and also enables payment of traffic fines and penalties.
In particular, with the COVID-19 vaccination for seniors aged 75 and over starting on April 1, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, in collaboration with the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, will provide COVID-19 vaccination reservation information through the National Secretary.
This National Secretary vaccination guidance service is a representative case of public-private cooperation to overcome COVID-19 and is provided free of charge under the business agreement signed on the 10th between the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Naver, Kakao, and Viva Republica (operator of Toss).
After launching the National Secretary service, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety plans to improve functions by reflecting public feedback and add 30 more services by the end of this year to continuously enhance convenience for the public.

Jeon Hae-cheol, Minister of the Interior and Safety, said, "To overcome the national disaster situation caused by COVID-19, the National Secretary will provide notification services at the time when vaccination for those aged 75 and over begins, which we expect will help citizens receive their vaccinations without any issues." He added, "The National Secretary is a representative innovative case of public service provided through government and private sector cooperation. We will continue to develop it into a personal secretary for all citizens that anyone can easily use by adding various daily life-related administrative information notifications such as traffic fines and national scholarships."
