According to the police on the 27th, Mr. and Mrs. A have been booked without detention on charges of child abuse and are under police investigation.
The couple is accused of repeatedly hitting their 6-year-old son, B, with a showerhead at their home in Eumam-myeon, Seosan-si, Chungnam Province, around 8:30 p.m. on the 25th.
The son sustained a head injury and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital.
The police booked Mr. and Mrs. A and separated them from their son after receiving a report from hospital staff suspecting child abuse.
