Gwanak-gu-Seoul National University Museum of Art Modern Art and Culture Online Course Enrollment Open

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) is recruiting students on a first-come, first-served basis for the Seoul National University Museum of Art's Modern Art and Culture online course starting in April.
This course, conducted as a cooperation project between Gwanak-gu and Seoul National University, aims to enhance understanding of culture and arts, providing differentiated, high-quality arts and culture education to improve the quality of life and self-realization of residents.
The lectures consist of a total of 12 sessions covering topics such as COVID-19, the Cold War era, racism, war, and refugee crises, focusing on "how art has responded to historical and social crises." Seoul National University professors and experts in the respective fields were invited to produce and edit the videos directly.
One hundred Gwanak-gu residents will be recruited on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications can be submitted through the Seoul National University Museum of Art website until 6 p.m. on the 31st. The tuition fee is 20,000 KRW.
The lectures will be conducted online starting April 1, and participants will receive the online video URL via text message, allowing them to attend easily and freely anytime and anywhere.
Mayor Park Jun-hee said, "This course was prepared to relieve the cultural and artistic thirst of residents exhausted by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic," adding, "We will continue to promote steady cooperation projects between academia and government, utilizing Seoul National University's excellent human resources to accelerate the creation of Gwanak as a lifelong learning city."
