Jinju City Conducts COVID-19 Vaccine Simulation Training for Elderly... 2,925 Receive First Dose
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] On the 25th, Jinju City in Gyeongnam conducted a mock training for COVID-19 vaccination at the vaccination center set up in the Chojun-dong Comprehensive Indoor Gymnasium.
The vaccination center, covering an area of 3,420㎡, plans to start the first dose for 2,925 elderly people aged 75 and over from April 1, and all ultra-low temperature frozen vaccine recipients will be vaccinated here.
Since the Pfizer vaccine must be transported and stored in an ultra-low temperature environment of minus 78 to minus 75 degrees Celsius, it can only be administered at vaccination centers equipped with ultra-low temperature freezers, self-power generation facilities, and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS).
In the training, 5 police officers, 6 firefighters, 9 soldiers, 5 doctors, 12 nurses, 28 administrative support staff, and 30 participants in the simulated vaccination took part, conducting the exercise as if in a real situation to enable a maximum of 600 vaccinations per day.
