A Drunken 50-Year-Old Arrested for Causing Disturbance at Police Station Saying "I Will Self-Harm"
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A man in his 50s who caused a disturbance by wielding a weapon and attempting self-harm while intoxicated at a police substation has been arrested.
The Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul announced on the 25th that they have detained a man in his 50s, identified as Mr. A, on charges of obstructing official duties.
According to the police, Mr. A is accused of entering a police substation in Daerim-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, on the 21st while intoxicated, carrying a knife and threatening to harm himself, causing a disturbance.
The police confronted Mr. A for about 10 minutes before arresting him on the spot. It is known that Mr. A had previously made several complaint reports to the police before the incident.
