HPO Selected for China Sam's Club Promotion Products..."Sales Up 400% in 4 Months After Entry"
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] HPO announced on the 25th that its growth-specialized milk powder "Hi&GoGo," sold in China, has been selected as a "nationwide event" product for the main products sold at Sam's Club, a premium discount store operated by Walmart.
This product selection was made just four months after entering Sam's Club in China, and through the "nationwide event," the sales growth of Hi&GoGo is expected to accelerate further.
The nationwide event is a promotion that places event products along aisles with high foot traffic to boost product sales. Sam's Club conducts events focusing on main products it selects internally.
Sam's Club is the largest membership discount store in China, with about 3 million members. It operates on a paid membership system similar to Korea's Costco and has a customer loyalty rate exceeding 80% annually. Since opening its first store in Shenzhen, China, in 1996, it now operates 31 stores nationwide.
An HPO official said, "Our own Danish brand 'Denps' already holds recognition as a top 10 imported product in the Chinese probiotics market," adding, "The brand 'Hi&GoGo,' targeting growing children, is also quickly establishing its position."
He continued, "The product selected for the nationwide event is Hi&GoGo's 'Denmark Organic Milk Powder,' which is recognized as a reliable European product due to its Danish brand, European raw materials, and European manufacturing. Since entering Sam's Club China in December last year, its sales growth rate reached 400% by March this year, making it a highly popular product."
He added, "In China, the number of consumers seeking organic growth formula is increasing, so the demand for 'Denmark Organic Milk Powder' is steadily rising, and repurchase rates are high. This nationwide event will be an opportunity for Hi&GoGo milk powder sales to increase significantly."

HPO has secured online sales channels in China through direct store openings on Tmall and JD.com. Following last year's entry into Sam's Club, requests for entry from offline sales channels such as 'Hema,' a leading O2O channel in China, have been increasing recently, so sales growth in China is expected to accelerate further.
