Seoul Gangseo-gu, Digital Media Competency Enhancement Training for Residents Conducted
April One-Person Media Creator Non-Face-to-Face Training Course... Media, Digital Devices, Film, and More Education Offered Until December
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] In the COVID-19 era, Gangseo-gu has taken steps to strengthen residents' digital capabilities.
Seoul Gangseo-gu (District Mayor Noh Hyun-song) announced that it will conduct digital media enhancement education to improve residents' media utilization skills.
In line with the non-face-to-face era brought about by COVID-19, the initiative aims to help residents utilize new media such as mobile and one-person media, and to bridge the digital divide through media education tailored by skill level and age group.
First, the district will operate a non-face-to-face course titled "I am also a YouTuber, Beginner Course for One-Person Media Creators" from April 5 to 28.
The curriculum is packed with essential knowledge for becoming a one-person media creator, covering topics from creating a YouTube channel, smartphone camera settings, video content planning, understanding video editing apps, to decorating a YouTube channel.
The education will be conducted in real-time interactive online sessions using the video conferencing platform Zoom, twice a week (Monday and Wednesday) from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for two hours. The tuition fee is 15,000 KRW.
Any resident interested in media can apply, and applications are accepted through the Gangseo-gu Video Media Center website until April 2. However, the course may close early once the capacity of 15 participants is reached.
Starting with this education, the district will offer various media courses in fields such as media, digital devices, and film until December.
Non-face-to-face courses include ▲Media Creator ▲Premiere Pro Editing ▲Photoshop Utilization.
Regular courses include ▲Complete Mastery of Portrait Photography ▲Creating Your Own Brochure ▲After Effects Utilization, and special courses will include ▲Film Humanities Education ▲Career and Job Experience Classes. However, depending on the spread of COVID-19, the education methods and schedules will be flexibly managed.
