[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said, "China's economic growth rate this year could exceed the target."
According to Bloomberg on the 22nd (local time), Premier Li made this remark during a meeting with foreign business executives the day before.
Earlier, on the 5th, Premier Li stated in the government work report at the opening ceremony of the National People's Congress, "The economic growth target for this year has been set at over 6%."
Premier Li said, "We must balance growth, income, and employment," adding, "Economic growth based on high energy consumption and pollution is not acceptable."
