Line Friends Partners with 'Appoki' Producer to Enter Digital Entertainment Business
[Asia Economy Reporter Bu Aeri] Naver's subsidiary Line Friends is entering the digital entertainment business by partnering with 3D content production company 'Afun Interactive.'
On the 22nd, Line Friends announced, "We have formed a partnership with Afun Interactive to collaborate on digital character intellectual property (IP) and content business."
Afun Interactive is a startup that produces and services real-time 3D content in fields such as augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR). They also created 'Appoki,' a next-generation virtual influencer gaining attention.
Line Friends plans to nurture Appoki as a global leading virtual influencer through comprehensive collaboration on the Appoki IP business owned by Afun Interactive.
Line Friends will collaborate with affiliates such as Naver and LINE to launch LINE messenger stickers using the Appoki IP, develop related products, and expand licensing business.
