Ottogi Collaborates with Gogiri Makguksu to Launch 'Perilla Oil Makguksu'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] Ottogi announced on the 22nd that it will launch Deulgireum Makguksu, a product inspired by the famous restaurant Gogiri Makguksu.
Deulgireum Makguksu, a popular menu item at Gogiri Makguksu located in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do, is a dish made with freshly made buckwheat noodles mixed with savory and fragrant perilla oil and soy sauce, served with sesame seeds and seaweed.
Ottogi and Gogiri Makguksu have been collaborating since last year to create a product that makes it easy to purchase our traditional dish Makguksu anytime, easy to store anywhere, and simple for anyone to prepare. As a result of these efforts, Ottogi’s "Gogiri Deulgireum Makguksu" was born.
"Gogiri Deulgireum Makguksu" features a deeper and richer flavor by using Ottogi’s "Bangatgan Deulgireum," which recently received a 2-star rating at the International Taste & Quality Institute (ITQI) and was selected as a world-class product by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA). Additionally, Ottogi’s "Old-fashioned Roasted Sesame" was used to create the savory taste of the Makguksu.
