Gyeonggi Happy Shop Supports SMEs in 'Online Market Expansion'
[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-cheol] The 'Gyeonggi Happy Shop Entry Support Project' is set to support the expansion of online sales channels for promising small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the province.
According to Gyeonggi Province on the 22nd, 'Gyeonggi Happy Shop' is an online distribution channel jointly operated by the province and Naver, promoting excellent products from companies running smart store shopping malls within the province.
This year, a total of 500 million KRW will be invested to support 133 companies, including 100 SMEs and 33 companies owned by persons with disabilities.
The eligible companies are SMEs and companies owned by persons with disabilities located in Gyeonggi Province, which must be able to sell finished products using Naver Smart Store shopping malls.
Selected companies will receive benefits such as discounted sales-linked commission fees through entry into Gyeonggi Happy Shop, as well as support for product detail page creation, promotional video production, and search advertising costs, up to a maximum of 3 million KRW per company.
Additionally, they can participate in online marketing support programs such as non-face-to-face (online) marketing capability enhancement training and mini studio product photography support services.

Meanwhile, since its launch in 2014, 'Gyeonggi Happy Shop' has hosted a total of approximately 1,236 companies including SMEs, social enterprises, and companies owned by persons with disabilities. Sales, which were 250 million KRW at the time of its opening in 2014, surged more than 400 times to 107.2 billion KRW last year.
