Pohang City Launches Resident Contest for 'Heunghae Special Urban Regeneration Project' ... 10 Million KRW Support Per Case
A gathering of members from a resident group in the Pohang area selected for the 'Heunghae Special Urban Regeneration' contest project.
View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Pohang City announced on the 21st that it will conduct the '2021 Heunghae Special Urban Regeneration Resident Contest Project' to revitalize the local community.
Any resident group of four or more people living or working in Heunghae-eup can participate in the contest. Interested parties can download the application form from the Pohang City website and submit it to the Heunghae Special Urban Regeneration Field Support Center by April 5th.
Pohang City plans to provide up to 10 million KRW per project, totaling 140 million KRW, after document review, field investigation, and final evaluation. Last year, selected projects included village environment cleanup activities, revitalization of Heunghae Market, home repairs for vulnerable groups, and production of village newsletters.

Kim Hyun-seok, Director of the Safe City Project Division, stated, "Since the resident contest project started in 2019, communication among residents as well as exchanges between the city and residents have become more active," adding, "We will continue to strive to ensure the successful promotion of the Heunghae Special Urban Regeneration Project."
