Real Estate Speculation 'Police Report Center' Received 32 Additional Cases Yesterday... Total 275 Cases
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Reports and tips related to real estate speculation suspicions are steadily being received through the police reporting center established by the government joint special investigation headquarters (Special Investigation Headquarters, Special Investigation HQ).
The Special Investigation HQ announced on the 19th that as of 9 PM the previous day, 32 additional reports had been received through the police reporting center. The total accumulated reports so far amount to 275.
Among these, the Special Investigation HQ is known to have begun reviewing the credibility and verifying the facts of about 50 cases. If the speculation suspicions are concrete or require investigation, the National Investigation Headquarters of the National Police Agency will directly investigate or assign the cases to the provincial police agencies.
The Special Investigation HQ started operating the police reporting center from the 15th to thoroughly investigate speculation suspicions related to the 3rd phase new towns. The center is staffed with a center chief at the superintendent level and five specialized counseling police officers.
