This challenge is a consumption campaign encouraging citizens’ voluntary advance payments and pre-purchases to breathe new life into the Daegu local market, which has been stagnant due to COVID-19. Participants make advance payments at local small business owners, self-employed individuals, and traditional markets, post photos holding the challenge slogan on social networking services (SNS), and then nominate two others for the next round.
Chairman Yoon joined the campaign by making an advance payment at a restaurant operated by a social economy enterprise run by local residents, upon the recommendation of Lim Sung-hoon, CEO of DGB Daegu Bank. The advance payment amount will be returned to the region through future projects such as meal prevention programs for vulnerable groups, contributing to local economic revitalization and enhancing community welfare.
