Jangseong-gun Promotes 'Electric Vehicle Distribution Project'
[Jangseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Yoo Dooseok) announced on the 18th that it will promote the 'Electric Vehicle Distribution Project' to expand the private distribution of electric vehicles and reduce fine dust.
This project targets residents aged 18 or older who have continuously lived in the county for more than three months as of the announcement date (the 15th), and corporations or organizations with business offices in the county can also participate.
The application period is from the 29th of this month to the 9th of next month. Applicants must visit a dealership, sign a purchase contract for an electric vehicle, and then submit the subsidy application form along with various supporting documents to the respective dealership.
The submitted applications will be sent to the county through the electric vehicle purchase subsidy support system, and a total of 40 vehicles will be selected through a public lottery after the application deadline.
If eligible, applicants can receive purchase cost support ranging from 35% to 56% of the vehicle price, with differential payments depending on the vehicle type: up to 8.2 million KRW for ultra-small vehicles, 16.4 million KRW for passenger cars, and up to 28.2 million KRW for cargo vehicles.
Information about the supported vehicle models can be viewed on the Ministry of Environment's Low Emission Vehicle Integrated Website.
