Lee Hae-chan "Oh Se-hoon is an MB kid... Clearly profiting from Naegok-dong and keeping silent"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jumi Lee] Former Democratic Party leader Lee Hae-chan on the 17th launched harsh criticism at Oh Se-hoon, the People Power Party's candidate for Seoul mayor, calling him an "MB (former President Lee Myung-bak) kid."
On the day, Lee appeared on the YouTube channels 'Sisa Tapa TV' and 'Gaegukbon TV,' saying, "He is not trying to become mayor to administer the city but to grab vested interests," and added, "However, MB exploited the state, while Oh Se-hoon exploited the city," fiercely condemning him.
After finishing his term as party leader last year and refraining from media exposure, Lee expressed his opinions on various political issues, including the April 7 by-elections, during the broadcast.
In particular, he criticized the leading opposition candidates for Seoul mayor, including Oh, by calling them by their names without honorifics.
Lee said, "When Oh Se-hoon became mayor, his in-laws received 3.6 billion won in compensation by having greenbelt land released, and if the floor area ratio is increased, the profit rises up to tenfold," adding, "Since he took all of that for himself, he is practically a self-employed businessman," criticizing him.

Lee said, "A public official lying is worse than any other bad act," and pointed out, "If you say you will not take development profits but donate them to the city, there is no problem. But he blatantly took it all and kept silent."

He also continued his criticism of Park Hyung-joon, the People Power Party's candidate for Busan mayor, who is under suspicion of preferential apartment sales at the LCT in Busan. Lee said, "Isn't it well known that the LCT building in Haeundae is full of corruption? If you are a public official and doing politics in Busan, you should not be involved in such places," and scolded, "But he has two units on different floors; how can that be a coincidence?"
