Yoon Kwan-seok, Chairman of the Political Affairs Committee, Urges "Prompt Passage of Conflict of Interest Prevention Bill"
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Cheol-eung] Yoon Kwan-seok, chairman of the National Assembly's Political Affairs Committee and member of the Democratic Party of Korea, urged the prompt passage of the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act.
On the 17th, during the opening remarks at the public hearing on the 'Conflict of Interest Prevention Act for Public Officials' held at the National Assembly, Rep. Yoon said, "Based on today's public hearing discussions, I ask that the bill review be swiftly conducted at the March bill subcommittee so that legislative achievements can be promptly made to eradicate conflicts of interest among public officials, including real estate speculation."
He also pointed out the significance of holding the public hearing on the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act, which has been discussed in the Political Affairs Committee since the 19th National Assembly and was not finalized even in the 20th National Assembly.

Meanwhile, regarding the 'Prime Minister's Office Coordination Report on LH Speculation Allegations' held the previous day, Rep. Yoon emphasized, "Given the public outrage and sense of betrayal over the LH real estate speculation allegations, the Prime Minister's Office Coordination must approach its duties with extraordinary resolve," adding, "Since this case is a major investigation conducted after the adjustment of investigative authority between the prosecution and police, trust issues regarding the investigative body are also being raised, making the Prime Minister's Office Coordination's role as a bridge crucial."
