[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongsangnam-do held a briefing on the 17th and announced that from the end of March to June, Pfizer vaccines will be supplied and vaccinations will be conducted targeting those aged 75 and older.
This follows the government's COVID-19 second quarter vaccination implementation plan announced on the 15th.
Gyeongnam Province will first promote vaccinations for a total of 250,000 people, including elderly people aged 75 and older in the province, residents and workers of nursing homes, elderly welfare facilities, day and night care centers, and short-term protection facilities.
Once vaccinations begin, monitoring of reactions for at least three days after vaccination will be conducted focusing on elderly people in the towns, townships, and neighborhoods of cities and counties.
The heads of the relevant facilities plan to monitor for any abnormalities in residents and workers for seven days after vaccination.
The provincial quarantine authorities requested, "Facility heads should provide emergency measures first in case of adverse reactions and immediately report to the emergency medical institution transfer system established in cities, counties, and districts."
