Taekjin hyung received an annual salary of 18.4 billion won last year
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Kim Taek-jin, CEO of NCSoft, received a total compensation of 18.414 billion KRW last year.
According to the business report disclosed by NCSoft on the 16th, CEO Kim received a salary of 2.116 billion KRW, bonuses of 16.279 billion KRW, and other labor income of 19 million KRW last year.
This amount nearly doubled compared to the previous year. CEO Kim received an annual salary of 9.45 billion KRW in 2019 and 13.836 billion KRW in 2018.
Regarding this, NCSoft explained, "Within the director compensation limit, the compensation committee comprehensively considered the executive pay band, last year's executive standard increase rate, and the level of peer companies to decide the annual salary at a total of 2.2 billion KRW."
Short-term performance incentives of 5.7753 billion KRW were paid considering the expanded influence on the success of the mobile business.
Regarding special long-term incentives, the company stated, "As the CEO, leading the development and commercialization of Lineage M and Lineage 2M at the forefront, achieving simultaneous first and second place in mobile game sales, we decided to pay 9 billion KRW."
Meanwhile, according to the business report disclosed on the same day by Naver, Han Seong-sook, CEO of Naver, received 3.459 billion KRW in compensation last year. Lee Hae-jin, Naver’s founder and Global Investment Officer (GIO), received 1.975 billion KRW.
CEO Han received a salary of 1.2 billion KRW, bonuses of 2.235 billion KRW, and other labor income of 24 million KRW last year.
