33% Copayment Guarantee is Fully Covered, The Sooner You Join, The Better
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 16th that it has been accepting applications for the 'Farmer Accident Safety Insurance' since February to improve the welfare of farmers excluded from industrial accident insurance by compensating for physical injuries occurring during farm work.
The target applicants are farmers aged 15 to 87 engaged in farming activities. The insurance period is one year, and the coverage includes various options such as basic plan, injury and illness treatment, accidental death, traffic accident death, and funeral assistance support.
About 67% of the insurance premium is supported by the county, and the subscriber's share is 33%. However, for basic livelihood security recipients and lower-income groups, the subscriber's share is 13%.
For example, in the basic plan designed for about 100,000 to 200,000 KRW, the subscriber pays about 30,000 to 50,000 KRW, and the rest is supported by the county, with full benefits for injury and illness coverage.
The coverage amount is up to 10 million KRW in case of death and varies depending on the product. Farmers who wish to subscribe can visit the nearest agricultural or livestock cooperative for consultation and enrollment.
In particular, the 'Farmer Accident Safety Insurance' can be overlapped with other insurance coverages regardless of other insurance subscriptions.
