Ulsan International Film Festival's 'Free Screening' Comes to You
Ulsan Viewer Media Center and Ulsan Library Screen Monthly Supported Productions
Screenings Also Held at District and County Public Facilities ... On the 24th at Jung-gu Senior Welfare Center
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Ulsan City will hold a "Visiting Free Screening" to promote the Ulsan International Film Festival.
The film screenings will take place from March to the end of the year on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:30 PM in the multipurpose hall on the 3rd floor of the Ulsan Viewer Media Center, and on the third Thursday of each month at 2:00 PM in the comprehensive video room on the 1st floor of the Ulsan Library.
Selected works from the 2020 Ulsan International Film Festival film production support project can be viewed along with commentary by Shin Min-jae, programmer of the Ulsan International Film Festival.
For groups and regions where it is difficult to watch films, screenings will also be held monthly at public facilities in each district and county.
This March, the screening will be held for seniors at the Jung-gu Senior Welfare Center (Namoe-dong, Jung-gu) on the 24th at 10:30 AM.
The visiting screening will be conducted with a monthly screening theme. In March, under the theme "Family and Ulsan," two films will be shown: "Seoul Guest" directed by Kim Won-ho and "The Sea I Longed For" directed by Lee Hyun-jun.
"Seoul Guest" is a black comedy depicting the conflicting situations between children trying to make a profit by selling their hometown house and a father suffering from dementia, while "The Sea I Longed For" is a road movie portraying a day in the life of a grandfather and grandson searching for a middle-aged man who supports his father and son and has run away.
Both films were shot in Ulsan. They are interesting works that uniquely critique today's family customs.
The visiting screening can be watched free of charge without prior application, and further details can be found on the Ulsan International Film Festival website.
