DGB Daegu Bank, BPR System Advancement Launch
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] DGB Daegu Bank announced on the 15th that it has completed the advancement of the BPR system for securing digital competitiveness and automating work processes in preparation for the future business environment, and has successfully started simultaneous application.
The BPR (Business Process Reengineering / Work Support) reconstruction project selected LG CNS as the main IT construction contractor and PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting (PwC) as the Program Management Office (PMO) operator. The project was carried out over 11 months starting from April last year and was simultaneously applied to headquarters departments and all branches on this day.
The ‘BPR System Advancement’ project aims to improve inefficient work processes, respond to the changing financial environment such as the increase in non-face-to-face transactions and electronic documentation, and enhance stability and productivity through a complete system overhaul.
In particular, this advancement focused on strengthening sales capabilities and customer service efficiency in the fiercely competitive mobile sales environment. It also has the nature of responding to future business environments by linking with back-office organizations due to the expansion of non-face-to-face sales and preparing for flexible organizational operations. Along with this, about 250 derived improvement requirements were reflected in the new system according to the direction of work redesign and business process innovation for strengthening real-time monitoring, improvement of aging infrastructure, and IT support system enhancement to improve development productivity.
