[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Samyang Foods announced on the 15th that it has applied eco-friendly packaging to its long-selling snack Satto Bap.
The eco-friendly packaging applied to Satto Bap received the Green Technology Product certification granted by the government to products that minimize pollutant emissions using green technology. Packaging manufacturing technology using environmentally friendly ink that reduces toxic substances was applied, and it is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions during the production process by 76% annually.
The presence of eco-friendly packaging can be confirmed by the ‘Green Certification’ mark printed on the back of the Satto Bap product, and the company plans to expand the application of such packaging to products like ramen in the future.
