Dobong-gu Supports Home Repairs for Aging Houses in Low-Rise Residential Areas
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Dobong-gu (Mayor Dong-jin Lee) supports home repairs for detached, multi-family, and row houses over 20 years old within the Housing Performance Improvement Support Zone.
The target areas are ▲Chang 3-dong 543 area ▲Dobong 2-dong 625 area ▲Ssangmun 1-dong 485-3 area ▲Dobong 1-dong 570-13 area ▲Banghak 2-dong (Supsok Village · Bangagol) ▲Dobong 1-dong (Saedongnae · Angol Village).
Ssangmun 1-dong 485-3 area and Dobong 1-dong 570-13 area were newly added as target areas this year.
These areas are designated as Housing Performance Improvement Support Zones. A 'Housing Performance Improvement Support Zone' refers to an area designated to support home repairs even outside the previously supported 'Urban Regeneration Activation Areas' and 'Managed Residential Environment Improvement Projects' in Seoul.
If more than 60% of low-rise houses in a scenic or height-restricted district are over 20 years old since approval of use, the area can be designated as a 'Housing Performance Improvement Support Zone' through review by the Urban Regeneration Committee.
Through this project, detached houses (multi-unit, multi-family houses) and multi-family row houses (multi-family, row houses) over 20 years old in the Housing Performance Improvement Support Zone can receive performance improvement repairs for ▲roofs ▲waterproofing ▲external windows ▲insulation ▲external walls ▲facilities.
For detached houses, up to 12 million KRW or 50% of construction costs will be supported, and for multi-family row houses, up to 5 million KRW per household or 50% of construction costs will be supported.
Meanwhile, for external spaces of detached, multi-family, and row houses facing roads, 100% of construction costs will be supported for fence removal or creation of rest areas (flower beds).
Additionally, the district plans to support up to 90% of construction costs for basic livelihood security recipients, lower-income groups, persons with disabilities, and single-parent families. However, those receiving home repair support through maintenance benefits as housing benefit recipients among vulnerable groups are excluded from support.
Subsidies cannot be used for purposes other than home repairs. Detached houses with an official individual property price exceeding 650 million KRW or multi-family houses with an official individual unit price exceeding 600 million KRW as of the announcement date are excluded from support for exclusive and common area repairs. Supported houses and parties must maintain the fully subsidized external spaces for two years and comply with conditions set by the subsidy review committee.
The application deadline for the Seoul Beautiful Home Repair Support Project is July 30, and applications may close early if the budget is exhausted.
Applicants can inquire by phone or visit the Urban Regeneration Division of the district office, and detailed information can be found by entering 'Gakkumjutaek' in the search bar on the district’s official website.
