KOSDAQ Surges Past 900 on Individual and Foreign Buying... Rebounds After 5 Trading Days
[Asia Economy Reporter Ji-hwan Park] On the 11th, the KOSDAQ rebounded after five trading days. It recovered the 900-point level due to net buying by individuals and foreigners.
According to the Korea Exchange, as of 10:49 a.m., the KOSDAQ was at 900.74, up 10.67 points (1.20%) from the previous trading day. The index opened at 890.97, up 0.90 points (0.10%) from the previous close, maintained a firm tone, and surpassed the 900-point level around 10:36 a.m.
On the KOSDAQ, individuals and foreigners are leading the index. Individuals purchased stocks worth 40.6 billion KRW, and foreigners bought 23.3 billion KRW. Meanwhile, institutions sold stocks worth 54.3 billion KRW.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, most showed an upward trend. Pearl Abyss rose the most, up 3.52%. EcoPro BM also showed a strong gain in the 3% range. Celltrion Healthcare (2.03%), Celltrion Pharm (2.01%), and Pearl Abyss (2.29%) also rose.
