On the 10th, in an interview with Segye Ilbo, Yoon said, "For young people who try to live a better life solely through diligence and talent without any background, this society is already a difficult place to live even without such incidents," adding, "This LH speculation scandal shows that even the game rules are manipulated, making it impossible to win, and in this way, young people cannot help but despair."
Yoon stated, "The driving force of this country's development is fair competition, and if young people cannot trust in fair competition, there is no future for this country," and added, "Support measures to help during difficult times are certainly necessary, but the fundamental thing is to provide trust that fair rules will be upheld without privileges or cheating."
He also emphasized, "When such incidents are revealed, it must be shown to the whole world that severe punishment is applied regardless of sides," and said, "Talking about institutional reform without definite accountability is just saying that nothing will be done."
He continued, "This should not be considered in terms of political camps or elections," and added, "This is a matter concerning the foundation of a nation."
Earlier, on the 7th, in an interview with Chosun Ilbo, Yoon said, "Stealing public information to speculate in real estate is a 'crime that ruins the nation,'" and added, "This is a matter that requires immediate and large-scale investigation." He stated, "Corruption spreads quickly, and preventing it is the state's responsibility."
