Reserve COVID-19 Vaccination and Receive Notifications via KakaoTalk
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] From now on, COVID-19 vaccine appointments can be made using the Kakao Certificate, and notifications can be received via KakaoTalk.
On the 10th, Kakao announced that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety to develop and promote the use of the National Secretary Service.
Once the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency's COVID-19 vaccine appointment system opens, KakaoTalk users will be able to log in with the Kakao Certificate and make reservations. Afterwards, appointment details such as date, time, and location will be sent via KakaoTalk messages.
The vaccine appointment system allows users to make reservations and select notification channels without logging into Government24. The Kakao Certificate can be created through the KakaoTalk More tab by agreeing to terms and completing identity verification.
The National Secretary Service provides notifications and easy payment functions at the necessary times when citizens set the administrative information they need and the apps from which they want to receive information.
Starting from the end of March, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety will launch seven National Secretary notification services in three areas: health, transportation, and education, including National Health Insurance Service health checkup guidance, Road Traffic Authority driver's license renewal alerts, and Police Agency traffic fine payment notices.
By the end of the year, 30 additional notification services will be added. After logging into Government24 and selecting the types of notifications on the National Secretary page, users can choose KakaoTalk as the receiving channel to receive administrative information via KakaoTalk.
