SK Telecom Establishes Media Art Gallery in Headquarters to Support Artists Overcoming COVID-19
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] SK Telecom announced on the 7th that it will support the exhibition of artworks by artists using the Media Walls installed at its headquarters in Euljiro, Jung-gu, Seoul, and its office building in Dunsan, Seo-gu, Daejeon.
The exhibited works are newly selected every month based on recommendations from social enterprises in the art field. The plan is to hold year-round exhibitions focusing on works by emerging artists whose exhibition opportunities have decreased due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), artists with developmental disabilities, and artists affiliated with social enterprises.
Starting at the end of this month, the exhibited media art will be provided as content for the video coloring service 'V Coloring,' allowing general customers to download the artists' works. All revenue generated from this will be used to support the artists.
