[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the 4th, Park Gyeom-su, Mayor of Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, participated in the "Thank You, Essential Workers" challenge.
This challenge is a campaign to express gratitude and support to essential workers who inevitably perform face-to-face labor during the COVID-19 pandemic, including healthcare, social welfare, care services, and sanitation workers.
Park Gyeom-su, Mayor of Gangbuk-gu, said, "Behind the maintenance of our safe daily lives despite the risk of COVID-19 infection lies the dedication and sacrifice of essential workers," and added, "I thank the essential workers who are silently sweating on the front lines of society."

Mayor Park, who wrote supportive messages on a handwritten sign, recommended Lee Yong-gyun, Chairman of the Gangbuk-gu Council, Kim Chung-seop, Mayor of Gimcheon, a sister city, and Ham Myung-jun, Mayor of Goseong County, as the next participants.
