LS Electric Donates 100 Million KRW in Neighborly Aid to Busan Gangseo-gu Workplace

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] LS ELECTRIC announced on the 5th that it donated 100 million KRW in COVID-19 neighbor aid funds to support the underprivileged in Gangseo-gu, Busan, where its Busan plant is located.
The funds will be used to improve meal service facilities at local welfare institutions such as the Busan Gangseo-gu Senior Welfare Center and to support welfare programs that provide learning PCs for adolescents from low-income families.
Noh Ki-tae, head of Gangseo-gu Office in Busan, said, "We thank LS ELECTRIC for their interest in welfare projects for the underprivileged in the region," and added, "We will use the funds carefully to support vulnerable groups facing difficulties due to COVID-19."
Shin Dae-hee, head of LS ELECTRIC's Busan plant, said, "We hope that the heartfelt donation will be of some help to the neighbors in need around our workplace," and promised, "We will continue to practice sharing through various support activities for the Busan community."

Under the slogan "The foundation of social contribution is giving back to the local community," LS ELECTRIC is engaged in various activities in local communities. Since 2014, it has been delivering winter clothing, Chuseok holiday lunch boxes, summer cooling supplies, and winter heating supplies to low-income and underprivileged groups in the areas where its plants are located.
