Gyeongnam Province Provides Special Support for 'Idolbom Service' to Essential On-site Quarantine Personnel
COVID-19 Medical Staff and Quarantine Workers Can Use Without Time or Day Restrictions
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongsangnam-do announced on the 2nd that it will temporarily expand government support for the 'Childcare Service' to support the childcare of medical staff and quarantine workers working on the frontlines of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The special support targets are essential healthcare personnel and quarantine support personnel on the frontlines who have difficulties in childcare due to COVID-19 response and families wishing to use the childcare service.
The special support period starts from the 2nd and will be operated flexibly depending on the COVID-19 situation.
The 'Childcare Service' is a service where a childcare provider visits families with children under 12 years old who have difficulties raising their children.
Previously, usage was possible with a burden of 10% to 15% depending on household income level, but essential healthcare and support personnel can use the service with a burden of 10% to 40%.
Accordingly, for the highest income group 'Type Ra (150% or more of median income)', the cost burden is reduced by 60%, from 10,040 KRW per hour to 4,016 KRW.
In particular, considering the nature of quarantine work that operates 24 hours, the childcare service can be used regardless of day or time.
Supported families can apply online or by visiting the nearest eup/myeon office or community service center.
