A 25-Story Residential and Commercial Complex to Rise Near Dangsan Station... Cinema to Open on Basement Level 2
[Asia Economy Reporter Onyu Lim] A mixed-use complex building with up to 25 floors, including a movie theater and 192 urban-style residential units, will be constructed near Dangsan Station in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.
On the 25th, Seoul City announced that it held the 3rd Architecture Committee meeting on the 23rd and approved the construction plan for the mixed-use complex building at 331-1, Dangsan-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu.
The building is planned to have 6 basement floors and 25 aboveground floors, including a movie theater on basement level 2, neighborhood living facilities from basement level 1 to the 2nd floor, 192 urban-style residential units in two buildings, and 40 officetel units.
The project site is directly adjacent to Dangsan Station on Subway Lines 2 and 9, and floors above the 10th offer excellent locational advantages with views of the Han River, Yeouido, and Namsan.
A Seoul city official said, "To maximize the locational advantages, we devoted great care to the facade and layout plans during the design process. As a result, a building that can provide a unique visual experience that leaves a lasting impression on anyone who sees it has been created."
Unlike typical apartment floor plans, different layouts were planned for each floor to create a variety of facade expressions. This not only provides visual enjoyment but also actively incorporates balconies that make use of outdoor spaces, creating practical spaces prepared for the 'post-COVID-19' era.
The project is scheduled to begin construction in September and be completed by August 2024.
