Seodaemun Police Station in Seoul is investigating Ms. A, who set fire to a park around 4 a.m. on the 24th, on charges of arson.
After setting the fire, Ms. A called 119 herself and reported that she had started the fire. The fire burned 150㎡ of the mountain and was extinguished in about 30 minutes, with no casualties. It is known that Ms. A was not intoxicated at the time of the crime.
According to the police investigation, Ms. A admitted to all charges. She reportedly stated that she committed the crime because she wanted to receive psychiatric treatment.
