Shinyoung Securities Partners with Global No.1 OCIO Mercer to Launch First TDF
Utilizing Overseas Top Asset Management Firms' Strategies with Low Fees
[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] Shin Young Securities is launching its first Target Date Fund (TDF) product in collaboration with Mercer, the world's No. 1 Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) institution.
Shin Young Securities announced on the 22nd that it will launch the 'Shin Young TDF Series.' A TDF is a fund product that automatically adjusts the proportion of investment assets according to the investor's life cycle, targeting the customer's expected retirement date. Typically, it follows an asset allocation format where the proportion of risky assets is high initially and decreases as the retirement date approaches. It is already recognized overseas as a representative product for retirement preparation.
Shin Young Securities' TDF was launched in collaboration with Shin Young Asset Management and Mercer. Its biggest feature is that it allows diversified investment in products from various asset management companies worldwide. Mercer independently evaluates excellent asset managers globally, selects the best managers by asset class, constructs portfolios, and manages them on an outsourced basis. The Shin Young TDF will include products managed by Mercer in a fund-of-funds structure. This enables meaningful overseas asset allocation effects while allowing access to excellent overseas asset managers' strategies, which are difficult to subscribe to domestically, at a low fee.
A Shin Young Securities official said, "The Shin Young TDF conducts long-term investment through asset allocation by country and asset class, which will help build stable retirement assets," adding, "It is an optimal product for those preparing for retirement."

The fund is composed of three funds according to the retirement date (Shin Young TDF, Shin Young TDF2030, Shin Young TDF2040).
