[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] Twenty additional people infected with a variant virus known to be more transmissible than the existing novel coronavirus have been confirmed.
The Central Disease Control Headquarters (CDCH) announced on the 20th, "Since the 17th of this month, a total of 20 new cases of variant virus infections have been confirmed, including 10 domestic cases and 10 imported cases," adding, "All 20 cases are of the UK-origin variant virus."

Among them, the 10 domestically infected individuals are all foreigners and belong to cluster transmission cases. Four are related to a family gathering in Yeoju-si, Gyeonggi Province, and six are confirmed cases related to a family cluster infection in Siheung-si, Gyeonggi Province.
