Sangju-si Selects New Contractor for Special Transportation Services (Vans) for Mobility-Disadvantaged
Social Welfare Corporation 'Kkummaeul' to Operate for the Next 3 Years
The City of Sangju is holding a review meeting on the 19th to select a private operator for the special transportation service and mobility support center.

'Kkummaeul' will be entrusted with operation for three years starting from March 1.
Sangju City has been operating vans since 2014 to facilitate the mobility of transportation-vulnerable groups such as the disabled, the elderly, temporary wheelchair users, and pregnant women. Initially, there were three vehicles, but now the number has increased to ten.
The special transportation service in Sangju City operates within the Gyeongbuk province. The fare is 1,100 KRW as the base fare for 5 km, with an additional 200 KRW per kilometer. The service hours are from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays. On weekends and public holidays, it is available until 6 p.m. by prior reservation.
