Yeosu Gwangyang Port Corporation Holds Briefing Session on Smart Factory Implementation
Support for Government's Smart Factory Adoption Program for Manufacturing Companies in Gwangyang Port Hinterland Complex
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Cha Min-sik, hereinafter referred to as the Authority) announced on the 19th that it held an explanatory session on the 17th for manufacturing companies located in the Gwangyang Port hinterland who wish to participate in the government's smart factory dissemination and expansion project.
The government is supporting the establishment and advancement of various types of smart factories suitable for domestic conditions targeting small and medium-sized enterprises and mid-sized companies to enhance competitiveness in manufacturing sites.
In line with this, the Authority provided guidance on the project details to manufacturing companies located in the Gwangyang Port hinterland to help them introduce smart factories, and directly visited the workplaces of companies interested in participating to explain the smart factory dissemination project.
Additionally, the explanatory session was held jointly with the Gwangyang City 4th Industrial Revolution Committee, providing time to introduce promotion cases of smart factories, consulting on suitable operating systems for each company, and methods for applying to the project.

Meanwhile, the Authority plans to support the introduction of smart factories by discovering a total of five companies this year to improve productivity, promote employment, and increase cargo volume among manufacturing companies located in the Gwangyang Port hinterland.
