[Photo] Minister Lee Jae-gap Visits Jeju Air Site
On the 18th, Lee Jae-gap, Minister of Employment and Labor, visited Jeju Air's Seoul office in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, and toured the crew lounge and other facilities before a meeting. The meeting was organized to share Jeju Air's experience in maintaining employment through joint labor-management efforts despite the sharp decline in air travel demand following the COVID-19 pandemic, and to listen to their difficulties. Since last year, Jeju Air has maintained employment by having executives agree to partial salary reductions and scaling back welfare programs, while receiving government employment retention subsidies through labor-management agreement./Reporter Kim Hyun-min kimhyun81@
