Suncheon-Wanju Expressway Chain Collision Accident... Suncheon Fire Station Mountain 119 Rescue Team Dispatched
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] The Suncheon Fire Station (Chief Ha Soo-cheol) Mountain 119 Rescue Team responded at around 10 a.m. on the 17th to a chain collision accident that occurred 300 meters past the Cheonma Tunnel on the Suncheon-Wanju Expressway (Suncheon→Wanju).
Chickens escaped onto the road from the first accident vehicle, a cargo truck, and the mountain rescue team and firefighters relocated the chickens and cleared the road.
Fortunately, there were no casualties or serious injuries, but one person with minor injuries was transported by Gurye Ambulance.
The accident is presumed to have occurred due to slipping on icy roads caused by snow that had fallen since the previous day.

The mountain rescue team leader (Fire Captain Kang Yong-deok) stated, “The risk of slipping accidents is higher just past the tunnel, and on snowy or rainy days, drivers should reduce speed more than usual and exercise extra caution.”
