69 Photos of Late Artist Han Seokhong's 'Seokguram' Released Online
Photographed Seokguram Grotto Three Times in 1981, 1986, and 2000
The Cultural Heritage Administration's National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage announced that it will release sixty-nine photographs of the Seokguram Grotto in Gyeongju (National Treasure No. 24) taken by the late Han Seokhong, a first-generation cultural heritage photographer, on its institute website starting from the 17th.
Han photographed Seokguram three times in 1981, 1986, and 2000. The bereaved family donated these photographs and 1,172 films to the National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage in 2019 and last year. An official explained, "The collection also includes photos featured in famous overseas exhibitions and various catalogs."

The photos being released this time are the sixty-nine images included in the photo book "Seokguram: The Photographs," published last year. They have been digitized in high resolution. The original files can be downloaded and used by anyone without separate permission under the "Public Domain Use Policy."
