Geumcheon-gu, Village Community Project Proposal Contest
Support of 75 Million KRW for 5 Areas Including Neighbor Making, Community Growth, and Alley Creation... Proposals Accepted on Village Community Support Center Website Until March 1
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) is conducting a 'Village Community Project Proposal' contest until March 1 to support the formation of alleyway communities and sustainable community growth to solve village problems.
Through this contest, the district plans to support a total of 75 million KRW across five categories: 'Making Neighbors,' 'Community Growth,' 'Alleyway Creation,' 'Small Village Exhibitions,' and 'Social Problem-Solving,' with each community receiving between 500,000 and 10 million KRW.
'Making Neighbors' is a project that supports the formation of communities that restore relationships among neighbors at the dong (neighborhood) level and solve daily life needs and problems independently. It targets newly formed resident groups of three or more people living or working in the same dong, providing 500,000 to 1 million KRW per group.
'Community Growth' supports existing resident groups to connect with the local community and grow into sustainable communities. Eligible groups are resident groups or organizations of three or more people living or working in the district with experience in village community projects.
Each group can receive support ranging from 1 million to 3 million KRW.
In the 'Alleyway Creation' category, to support community activities at the alley level, resident groups or organizations of five or more people living or working in the district are eligible, with support ranging from 2.5 million to 5 million KRW per group.
In the 'Small Village Exhibitions' category, to support exhibitions of village community activities and achievements within the area, resident groups or organizations of three or more people living or working in the district can receive 500,000 to 1 million KRW per group.
'Social Problem-Solving' is a project that supports community activities using shared spaces as bases to solve local problems. Eligible groups are resident groups or organizations of five or more people living or working in the district, with support ranging from 5 million to 10 million KRW per group.
Resident groups or organizations wishing to participate can apply online through the Seoul Village Community Comprehensive Support Center website by 11 PM on March 1.
After screening, the final selection results will be announced on the website on March 10.
Selected resident groups or organizations will sign agreements with the Geumcheon-gu Village Community Support Center in March and carry out their respective projects. The Village Community Support Center plans to provide visiting 'Village Understanding Education' and 'Accounting and Settlement Consulting' to facilitate smooth project implementation.
